Achieving New Heights

At Perris Union High School District (PUHSD), we aim to create high-quality and relevant learning opportunities for all in a safe and caring environment for our schools across our campuses in Menifee, Perris, Romoland, and Nuevo. PUSHD cares for all students while developing a growth mindset through collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

We are very proud of the work that has been completed in the last few years to meet the needs of our community, including the opening of Liberty High School to serve students in Menifee. The reconstruction of Perris High School is now complete, and safety and security updates have been ongoing at all campuses.

Even as we achieve new heights, our focus must remain on planning effectively for enrollment increases.  Paloma, Heritage, and Liberty High Schools are projected to experience the largest enrollment growth and are expected to be at or over full capacity in just a couple of years. Crowded schools mean more portable classrooms, increased student safety concerns, and less time for individual student and teacher interactions.

As families continue to move into our area, our enrollment continues to grow. Looking at our projections for the 2023-24 school year and beyond, we anticipate that our comprehensive high schools will be at or near their respective facility capacities in the next few years.

Planning for the Future

Recently, Perris Union High School District partnered with school construction experts to assess the condition of our local high schools and middle school and identify the needs facing our schools and the growing communities we serve.

Planning for the future of our District is a community process with multiple paths to consider. As we look to the future, we look forward to community engagement and input.
